Here lies an inventory of all parts included in the Official CrowBox 2.0 Kit. While the Bill of Materials is our document for sourcing and pricing kit parts, this document is the user-facing portion of the instructions which lists and describes each part.

This section will eventually contain diagrams of each part.

Structural Parts

This section lists all kit parts which are used to construct the external housing and internal framework of the CrowBox.

Wood Parts

Structural parts laser cut from 1/8“ plywood (baltic birch)

Front Panel

Forms the front 'face' of the CrowBox.

Rear Panel

Baseplate

The baseplate consists of two identical parts which are laminated together to form a thicker, stronger baseplate.

Perch Arm

Consists of three identical parts which are laminated together to form a strong, straight perch arm.

Side Panels

Perch Pivot

These parts serve as a structural gusset to reinforce the connection between the baseplate and front panel. Critically, these parts also support the pin upon which the perch arm pivots.

The Perch Pivot is assembled from two pieces- One for the left side and one for the right side. These are not interchangeable, as the left part contains a cutout into which an optical sensor will be installed.

Clear Acrylic Parts

Structural parts laser cut from 1/8” clear cast acrylic

Deposit face panel

A large, clear triangle which caps off the Deposit Box

Deposit side panels

Clear parts that form the sloping walls of the Deposit Box, giving it its triangle shape.

Sorting Plate

A clear platform to which food and coins are delivered. This is where the bird roots around through food and coins. This is also where birds deposit coins that they bring to the CrowBox.

Sorting Plate Shoulders

Smaller platforms situated to the left and right of the Sorting Plate

Deposit Ramp

This thin piece of acrylic is the bottom-most component of the Deposit Box. Coins deposited by birds are delivered to the inside of the CrowBox by rolling along this ramp.

Deposit Ramp Rails

These thin, sharp triangle-shaped parts support the Deposit Ramp by holding it captive between them.

Coin Tube Walls

These four pieces assemble into a tall, narrow box which holds a stack of coins to feed the Training Coin Dispenser

Colored Acrylic Parts

Structural parts laser cut from 1/8“ colored, opaque cast acrylic

Machine Deck

The Machine Deck supports the critical components of the Reward and Coin systems.

Reward Rotor

A 3.5 inch rotor with five large holes for dispensing reward treats.

Coin Tube Platform

Coin Motor Supports

(2 pieces- left and right, NOT interchangeable)

Dispensing Ramp

Reward Chute

(2 pieces- left and right, NOT interchangeable)
